Fedora Core 6

Fedora Core 6 (FC 6) has been released. You can download it for FREE either using FTP or HTTP mirrors. The previous release Fedora Core 5 was not that much good to me compared to Fedora Core 4. Mostly I did not like the 'Bubble Theme' it has been used which looked so babyish. It is better to use a more professional look and feel just like in core 4. However Fedora Core 6 has used a new theme with a 3D effect as you can see in the above image. Other than there are more new features in Fedora Core 6, the graphical virtualization manager, the SELinux usability tools, and even Puplet.

Hi,

FC6 is neat. But I have not used it for long so cant say how good it is. But I have tried using Oracle with FC5 & FC6 and had problems. What I did was downgrade the bash version to 3.0 and the problem was solved. The thing is FC5 & 6 is shipped with a bash version higher than 3.0 which does not work well with Oracle. Hope this helps if you are trying to use Oracle with FC5 or FC6.
